I’ve always been interested in how people work together. Early in my career, I saw how much difference it makes when internal communication is done well: people stay informed, engaged, and perform at their best. But I also saw how easy it is for it to get overlooked, especially in small organisations where everyone’s stretched and moving fast.
I wanted to help change that. I enjoy creating space for people to find authentic ways to communicate better day to day. For me, it’s less about big strategies and formal campaigns—it’s about clarity, consistency, and making sure people feel part of the team, helping organisations thrive.

I’m Caroline Waddams, a seasoned internal communication specialist and proud Fellow of the Institute of Internal Communication, with over 18 years’ experience helping organisations build stronger connections from the inside out.
Early in my career, working as a Communications Executive, I saw firsthand how internal comms was often overlooked—and how transformative it could be when it was given the space it deserved.
I’ve since worked across sectors with brilliant people and well-known brands – including Premier Foods, HS2, Network Rail, and Vodafone Business. These experiences shaped my understanding of how great communication can support culture, performance, and lasting change.
I started my business to give small and medium-sized organisations access to the same level of expertise – in a way that’s flexible, affordable, and tailored to them.
Every organisation is different, so I take time to understand yours. My support always begins with a conversation – usually an informal call where I learn about your challenges, your goals, and what’s already in place. From there, I shape a flexible approach that fits your needs and capacity – whether it’s a one-off audit, a longer-term strategy, or practical day-to-day support.
Alongside my client work, I mentor through the Institute of Internal Communication – supporting the next generation of professionals in a field that’s given me so much.
I am based on the Powys–Herefordshire border, I work with clients both locally and across the UK. My regional base allows me to really understand the pressures and ambitions of growing businesses in the area.
